Overview of the Multigrid Scheme in the DLR TAU-Code

The presentation will give a short overview of the multigrid scheme that is used in the hybrid
unstructured RANS solver TAU developed at DLR (German Aerospace Center).
The applied multigrid components, i.e. fine and coarse grid discretization, relaxation scheme,
agglomeration, multigrid-cycles and multigrid-operators, are presented.
Possible difficulties concerning the practical usage of the scheme are illustrated and an
alternative to solve these difficulties is put up for discussion.
